About the Designer

Briane K  Kenner

Briane is the Interior Designer and Artist behind Sinplicity. Pursuing a career in design has been her lifelong dream, giving her plenty of time to learn and hone her skills. She was fortunate enough to attend a midwestern high school that offered Interior Design as an alternative to Home Economics, and this is where she discovered her life’s passion. While in school, Briane was a National Reflections Art Program winner and a founding member of Project 540, a group that worked to raise financial support to design and build an addition to Century High School, in Rochester, MN. The completion of this project earned her a representative position at the National Student Leadership Conference. Following her graduation in 2007, she attended South Dakota State University where she studied Interior Design and Painting/Printmaking. In 2013 she also earned an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies from the National Paralegal College, and in 2021 she completed her Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University.

Though capable of working in any style, Briane’s designs are most often inspired by nature, color, and balance, focusing on contrast, coordination, and symmetry. She also often finds inspiration in classical architecture, art, and literature. Her attention to detail, precision, patience, and organizational skills give her a unique perspective on all areas of design, and she emphasizes that

"a properly organized space can make the difference between a superficial redesign and a functional renovation. My goal is to embrace the beauty of simplicity and sustainability, while creating spaces that are equally functional, comfortable, and aesthetically balanced to ensure my clients are truly delighted and excited about every final design I complete.”  -Briane K Kenner
